V5 5010 - 27.5 Front?

Hello,
My boy is currently on a 24" YT Jeffsy. Looking to skip the 26" stage next year and go straight to an XS 27.5" bike. I'd like to find a full suspension 130-140mm but NOT a mullet setup. I have been looking at the newest "V5" 5010 but stock is only available in a mullet setup. Purely for size (trying to keep it at small as possible), I want to replace the stock 29" front end with a 27.5.

My question is - has anyone swapped out the front fork and put a 27.5" front wheel on an XS V5 5010? Thoughts?

I agree get the V4 as your son will probably outgrow it in a few years.
