I'm considering a medium Ripley AF at 5'8" 230#

The Ripley is the right bike for where I ride, the AF fits my budget.

The issues I'm having are:

1. I seem to be in between the medium and large sizing, fitting both on the sizing charts at top and bottom. Reviewers that are 5'8" on mediums seem happy.

2. the small and medium Ripleys and R AFs come with the light/traction tune for 160 pound riders.

Ibis CS has recommended that it be shipped to Fox for a retune back to standard, with spacers as a not as good option

Given that my area is mostly single track without much elevation- Raleigh area - wanted people's advice and experience with bigger heavier people on the light/traction tune.

I'm not jumping much at all, mostly just keeping it mellow and enjoying easy rides.

Did it work okay for you as a bigger person on the light/traction tune or did you need to retune the shock?

Seems $$ to take it off, ship it, have it retuned back to where it started life before.
