Was tightening the bolt that connects the dropper lever to the rest of the Twinloc assembly and it completely stripped out the threads in the housing. Have never removed it, just tightened several times because it kept coming loose. Have a feeling it was cross threaded during assembly. Anyone else have this issue? Were you able to warranty? Thinking Scott will say it was user error, but I barely tightened it and it stripped. Thanks!
Just out riding my ‘22 Spark 970 and when I hit the dropper lever the suspension popped out of the mid position. Looking closer I realized that the main Allen screw on the Twinloc lever was very loose. I went to tighten and it stripped out. Wondering if the threads were already damaged and that’s why it came loose in the first place? Going to call Scott today and will update thread with their answer.
I just had the exact same thing happen to me. The twinlock lever basically fell down, I got it back in once, and then it happened again, and it was stripped.
So an update on this one. Warrantied the original triple lever set-up for an over-the-bar TwinLoc, being that I hated the dropper and lock out so close together in the first place. Didn't like that set-up either. So ended up ordering a Rockshox Twistloc Ultimate and can say I really like it. Way easier to operate and cheaper that buying a new Twinloc. Sucks that you are limited with grip options, but the grips that come with the Twistloc are pretty good for non lock-on.
