Fractured my left, non-dominant, distal radius few days ago and looking at surgery. Feeling pretty down, my fitness was coming around and had an xc race coming up along with the temperatures coming down here in AZ finally. What was your experience dealing with this injury and return to riding/racing? I have a trainer setup with Zwift and plan on doing some hikes until I can ride lightly outside. Any other tips/tricks?

Stay as active as you can while your wrist recovers from surgery. Hiking and a stationary trainer are great ways to maintain aerobic fitness. As well what strength training you can do for your uninjured body parts.

Once you're cleared for activity getting guidance from a professional experienced with rehabilitating injured athletes who can not only work with your wrist and arm but help recondition your whole body.

All the best in your recovery
