Hi all, the bushings in my 2022 ibis ripmo af have started creaking, I took the shock out today and tested to see how the rear of the bike moved, it was very stiff to the point where I had to hold the bike and put a decent amount of force into moving the rear assembly. Is this normal? I have replacement bushings but also want to know if I can fit these myself using a clamp/vice as if anything were to be damaged, it would be the bushing, converse to on most bikes using steel bearings in aluminium frames, where I understand the need for a press and doing the job “properly” and carefully. Thanks in advance.

You should be servicing the ibis bushings at least a few times a year, a service entails cleaning, and re-greasing with slick honey.

I pushed my last set in with my hands.
