Everyone is raving about the quality and performance of the latest SRAM t type transmission drivetrain. Even Shimano lovers are switching to it.

If I were you I'd just look at Pivot's website - I think they offer your bike with different drivetrain configurations including the new SRAM Transmission group.

Be advised that changing will require a host of new parts from the cranks to the rear hub.

Really? until this thread, I hadn't met one person, online or real, that is making that swap.

What are your reasons? XTR is just as precise, it's faster shifting, reliable, not battery dependent (a BIG issue), and doesn't require learning a new setup procedure.

Are these the things you're tired of? Facepalm

My current bike has the Sram xo t-type transmission. Noticeably slower shifting, extremely expensive when it comes time to replace parts due to damage or wear. I cringe every time I hit the derailleur on a rock, in fear of having to replace a $500 derailleur. The chain does last a long time, though. I'm happy for that, because a new one is twice the price of an xtr chain.
I chose the bike to get the suspension I wanted, but would happily take cable shifting (Shimano or Sram) if they had offered the same suspension spec for $1000 less!

And you forgot the batteries.
Twice I've ridden with transmission buds who ended up finishing the ride on dead battery singlespeeds.
