I posted this info in the Evil Owners Club page but thought it would be easier to access with its own thread. WC bearings are notorious for not lasting and exploding during maintenance. That is partly because it's not a particularly good bearing and partly due to the headset design that I explained in a long winded post in the EOC thread and won't add here. (Unless people ask for it).
Both Cane Creek and Enduro make direct replacements for the lower bearing which is a 52mm OD with 45*/45* bevels:
Cane Creek part # BAA-1161
Enduro offers two; Part# ACB 4545 150 SS & ACB 4545 150 BO (Which, I believe, is the same as the Cane Creek one above)
For the upper bearing, the Enduro Part#s ACB 4545 1125T SS & ACB 4545 1125 BO are both direct replacements, at 41mm OD with 45*/45* bevels. Cane Creek's upper bearing only comes in a 36*/45* bevel and WILL NOT WORK.
Thanks for the heads up on the Works Angleset Bearings. I was going to buy this product in Jan for my Evil Calling 2019. What angle did you use (1.0degree, 1.5degree)? Did you feel a noticeable difference in the ride using an angleset? Uphill change and dnhill change?

I went with 1.5* in my Offering and a 1* in my wife's. I'm very happy with mine but my wife preferred hers without. She has issues with the steep switchbacks we have here in NM and wanted the quicker handling that the stock angles give. I removed hers and put it in my son's Following.
The results have been as expected; better DH with a small cost in uphill and quickness. The Offering is such a great technical climber that it's a very small cost.
Another advantage is that it allows me to run the bike in the low setting (vs extra low). This gives me the slacker head tube and steeper seat tube.
From your notes I went dn to EVIL bikes in Bellingham and bought a 1.5 degree headset. They were great and had a sale on. Bought a lot of other stuff too

Thanks for posting this info - very helpful. Just to confirm, I have a works 1.0 Degree ZS44-ZS56 Angle Headset on my Devinci Troy, would the enduro part #’s you included in original post work as replacements for that setup? Sorry if I’m asking something obvious, just didn’t want to assume the Evil has the same headset situation as me.

According to the WC page on the 1.0* ZS44/ZS56 angleset:
Upper Bearing: 41mm OD, 45 x 45 Degree AC sealed bearing Lower Bearing: 52mm OD, 45 x 45 Degree AC sealed bearing
Which is the same as the Evil ZS44/ZS62 in this thread so everything would apply.
