Leatt clipless shoe breaking

Wasn't sure where else to post this to just chucking it in here.

I recently bought some leatt 5.0 clipless shoes and after a few rides i went to tighten the velcro on top and one of the plastic buckles ripped out.
Just wondering if there is any easy way to fix this - I've already tried super glue but the force from unclipping just breaks the bond - or if anyone else has had this issue and if so what have they done about it?

Hey man,
Thanks for sharing — definitely the right place to post this kind of stuff. I’ve actually had something similar happen with a pair of Five Tens — one of the straps tore off mid-ride and it was a pain.

Sucks to hear that happened with your Leatt 5.0s, especially so soon. Super glue never held up for me either when it came to pedal forces. Did you reach out to Leatt support yet? Sometimes they’re decent about warranty stuff, especially if the shoes are still pretty new.

If not, I’ve seen some guys use small bolts or rivets to reinforce the buckle area — not perfect, but might be a solid backup if you’re stuck.

How many rides did you get in before it failed?
