Need some help since I am clueless about building custom wheels. I'm looking to swap out the hubs on my Propain Trickshot to red ones and am not sure how I can find the right size hubs. All I know is that the OEM wheels are Newman DJ 30's and the rear hub size is 135mm. Are there any other stats I need to know before buying a new hub that will work with the spokes on those Newman wheels? I'm also not sure what front hub size I need. I have a Marzocchi Bomber DJ fork. Any help or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks!

Measure your existing hub and buy a replacement with the same measurements. Look at the number spokes - get hubs that have the same number. You said you want red ones - find a manufacturer that has the hub in the dimensions you need that also sells a red hub. When you get the hubs that fit your frame with the right number of holes then you'll need new spokes and nipples. The spokes may be two different lengths on the drive side vs the non-drive side depending on the hub flange dimensions.

Read Sheldon Brown's Wheelbuilding guide and watch some videos.

There's also a thread here dedicated to wheel building.

Hope that helps. Good luck.
