I have a 2020 Scott Genius 930 and I'm looking to run a more beefy "enduro" setup on it. I'm looking at a fox 38 160mm and a fox x2 rear shock, I'm pretty sure the fork will be fine but the shock is the issue. I'm wondering if anyone knows if it will fit and if anyone has tried it. I know that they will fit the ransom which has a similar geometry but I'm worried it wont fit when i pull the trigger to buy it.

I realise it's now three months down the track but to answer your shock question, none of Fox's piggyback shocks will fit - the reservoir hits the frame before you even get it mounted. There are some Geniuses around with Super Deluxes on them, but it requires modifications to the shock.

Had this issue with the Super Deluxe Ultimate, and even the Deluxe Ultimate (no piggyback) on my '22 940. I ended up going with the '24 Float, anything with a piggy back is going to be problematic due to how Scott configured the rear triangle.

Digging up an old thread, but would you have a picture of this install, and did you have to modify anything in the frame?
I would prefer to have the larger Fox Float shock, over the DPS version that the bike comes with, and none of my local suppliers have it in stock to do a test fit. Thanks for the help.

I went down the path of the 24 Fox Float on a 2022 940, and it clears - if the adjust is left in the setting 3, and the 2-posn compression lever is left in open, and the rebound knob is positioned correctly it doesn't hit at bottom out. But on mine to use all the adjusters properly a notch in the frame was necessary. Twinloc has been removed completely.
