Looking for a bike but cannot see phone numbers and no one is reading their pm's?

Hi all,

I've been perusing for a while but am now ready to buy a bike.

I've sent several pm's to people but they have not read the messages (envelope still showing) and a few adverts mention 'text me as I dont get notifications' but then I cannot see their mobile number?

As a newbie am I not seeing phone numbers displayed?

Can I change this? I assume its a bot stopper setting?

I had exactly the same problem a couple of months ago. Person selling a helmet, listed since January 23, I sent a few messages asking if it was still available and they were never read. Seller kept the listing up to date until January 24 without checking their mailbox and then deleted the item and didn't bother to reply to say it was sold. Unfortunately, if they ignore your message you're probably better off looking elsewhere.

Oh I should add. Their profile didn't even have a phone number to contact it just said "DM me" instead.

I doubt it, I have a long buy/sell history here an I've never listed my phone number..

No, when you post an ad showing your number is optional. BuySell can be good, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who don't delete their ads after selling, then don't respond to messages. It's aggravating, but that's the way it is.
