Has anyone tried to fit a hope tech 4v4 203mm rotor and caliper on the rear of a V2 ripmo? I installed the brake on my ripmo yesterday with the recommended H post mount bracket and rear most set of pistons doesn’t make contact with the whole rotor. I’ve used both directions of the post mount and it doesn’t seem to line up. anyone have any insight on this issue? I’m thinking about trying some other post mounts to see if I can get it to fit better.
Just want to give an update to anybody that reads this. Ibis states that their ibis Ritmo has a 180 mm post mount in the rear. This is only true because they put a Shimano 160 mm to 180 mm adapter on the rear brakes. I basically ordered every single post mount that you can from Hope to adapt their V4 brakes, the adapter that I needed is the 160 mm to 203 mm adapter. Which is the C brake adapter.
MountainJunky thanks for this. I am about to pull the trigger on some Hope Tech4V4 brakes to put on an Ibis Ripmo. So I need a 160 to 203 adapter for the rear and nothing for the front which is 203 already correct?
@cseaman; Depends on what you have for the fork. Id look up the fork post mount size from the manufacturer and go from there. You can find the brake mount conversion chart in the link below.
So for example I have a fox 38 fork which has a 180 PM and I wanted to upgrade to a 220mm rotor. So I want the M brake adaptor according to the chart. Let me know if you have any questions!!
