Arranged to buy with cash and collect. The seller seemed legit. The address he gave was at the end of a dead end road with limited turning. Upon arriving at the address the homeowner was confused as he was not selling a bike.

The seller will not respond to my messages.

Looking back the end of the road was busy with dog walkers as it lead to 3 footpaths. I'm wondering now if it was quieter would I have been jumped for my cash.

Wasted a 5 hour round trip for this messer. Avoid him as something is very dodgy about this. He has a rocky mountain for sale also.

Majority of online ads are a scam, if they are not willing to meet in a safe public place not at the end of a random road that is very suspicious. Nor will they talk over a phone. Even on Pinkbike there are likely more fake users than anywhere else.

He did give a residential address. So it wasn't just a random public place.

Just the homeowner wasn't selling a bike.
