Dropper post installation problem: Race Face dropper post

Is there a way to thread the cable for the Race Face dropper post through the Specialized Enduro Comp frame without drilling a new hole into the frame?

We think the cable has to feed through one of two ways, internally or externally.

Internally
Running the cable through the lower part of the frame, (a hole has to be drilled into the top part of the frame) then run the cable through the frame around the bottom bracket area ( is there room???) then up to the seat post to connect internally to the bottom of the dropper post.

Externally
Run the cable externally to the bottom bracket , then drill a hole through the frame just above the bottom bracket to run the cable internally up to the seat post.

Or is it just best to return the dropper post and find the model that has the same cable set up as the original dropper post. That last option seems the most logical.

Thoughts?
