Hi all thinking of buying a gt sensor carbon not for anything special just pottering around my village/town would this be ok
I’ve not had a bike for over 20 years just like the look of the bike. Also is 12 gears enough it’s mostly flat with slight inclines nothing major thank you

It seems like a lot of capability that you won’t get to enjoy. The Sensor is a trail bike, designed primarily to go fast, jump, and corner hard.
I wouldn’t stop you from getting it, as I’ve commuted on my trail bike and I like it because it’s a softer ride, but I would not get it solely on looks.
If you’re looking for a full suspension bike that you’ll just use to go about the town, perhaps the Commencal TEMPO, Devinci Django, or the Ibis Exie would be worth checking out. Many of those bikes can be found on sale, and sport less travel so you will enjoy pedaling them a tad more
