Hello, I have a 2011 Giant Glory 00, pretty much all stock. Whenever dropping the bike while not on it, there's a clunk from the rear end, I think it's pedal kickback but it sounds like something is broken. Anyone else noticed that with this bike or a similar one? Maybe it's the Saint hub? If it's the linkages how can I check or fix it? Thanks.

Probably just chain slap. Could also be a loose axle or shock bolt or pivot fastener. Could be a combination of things.
You think something is broken - is the bike not doing something that it should? Is your only symptom a clunk sound when you drop the bike? What about when you ride?
If this bike is all stock and nothing has been replaced since manufacture then, depending on how it was stored, how much it's been ridden and how hard it's been ridden in the last 13 years there's a very good chance that the whole bike needs a lot of attention. The fork, shock, BB, headset, hubs and all pivots probably need liberal application of maintenance or complete replacement. In fact, the chainring, chain, derailleur jockey and idler wheels and whole cassette could easily be overdue for replacement multiple times over. Same with tires, brake pads and rotors.
If you want to inspect the hubs then take the wheels off the bike, remove the rear cassette and inspect the hub's components. See if it rolls smoothly or if there's any unusual side-to-side/up-down motion in the axle.
If you want to inspect linkages then you have to apply side-to-side and back-forth pressure along the frame and rear triangle. First make sure all fasteners are torqued properly. Then isolate the rear tire: hold the seat stay in one hand and the top of the rear tire in the other and apply opposing forces - see if the wheel moves side-to-side without the rear triangle. If it does then you need to inspect the axle and hub. Next isolate the front and rear triangles: hold the seat stay and the seat tube and apply opposing forces to see if they move independently side-to-side/up-down. Then do the same thing with the chain stay and the seat tube. If unusual motion is detected then isolate the offending bearing set - work your way around the individual components moving the adjoining components in various directions until you figure out where the loose or compromised section originates.

I know it isn't chain slap, I've already wrapped the chain stay and some of the seat stay in an old tube, overlapping so it's 2 layers deep. The rebound on the shock feels good, so it's not it topping out. It happens as the wheel hits the ground. As far as I can tell all of the pivots are smooth and tight, and the hub and axle assembly seems all good. Cassette and derailleur are tight. Pedals and cranks are tight. What else can I check? Mostly I hear the clunk when there are sudden impacts, like stairsets or sharper rocks, sometimes off curbs. Not on drops or jumps though.
Update: I fixed it by just screwing in the B screw a bunch. Probably not optimal for pedalling or shifting but it's a 40lb DH bike anyways
You're supposed to set the B screw to a specific point so that the jockey wheel is spaced from the cogs correctly for optimal shifting. The derailleur will be able to move - it might make noise if it bounces - normal.

Well after a day at Trestle it's great, even if the B screw isn't where it supposed to be. Still a small clunk from pedal kickback from time to time.
