I have a Tyee 6 AL since June. So far I love the bike, the geometry is its highlight for sure, those long chainstays give a very balanced feel. The rear suspension is more of a mixed bag, it works very well on big hits and has a lot of support but is a bit harsh on repeated hits. Plenty of antisquat too, the bike hides well its weight (I have it in a coil + fox 38 config, so it's close to 17kg). I did its first rebuild today, the bearings are well protected, and the frame is well aligned. The only annoying thing is the rubber cable ports on the headtube that don't stay put (at least the right one for the dropper).
If you think about buying one, pay attention to the dropper insertion, it's not the best (5mm longer on the AL frame but still). I chose a oneup dropper in 180mm and it fits just right in my L frame. Also I would choose a 30mm rise handlebar in the configurator, the 20mm one was too low.

I have had tyee 6 al mix wheel since December and yanil38 hit the nail on the head. Its a good bike but not a super plush ride even with a coil in the rear. It handles big hits really well and honestly its more bike than I really need but it pedals better than most other "enduro bikes".

I plan on putting a 200 on a medium so this should be interesting. 5’10” all legs.

The high antisquat issue seemed to be an issue in the last gen too but they have alledgedly reduced it. Apparently that hasnt done much! Chose the vivid over the super deeluxe in part due to this. This is going to be my everything bike (out of the 4 i have) so im glad it seems to have a solid pedaling platform.

Went for the 35 mm riser, i agree that was a good call.

Has anyone tried ochain on these?

I'm 178cm/5'10'' too but I have short legs (72cm saddle height frome the BB) so it should be good for you. You are choosing the medium ?

Yeah the coil is a no brainer on this bike. Also a nice advantage of this kind of suspension is that the bike generates speed very well as soon as you push on BB in corners.

Yep the ochain would fit very well on it.

Yeah, chose the medium. Ive been sizing down to mediums lately and have been much happier riding them. I definitely would rather sacrifice some stability for agility and playfulness.

I am running a 54t dtswiss 350 hub and haven't noticed pedal kickback. I am ignorant to the benefits of the ochain other than pedal kickback. i am interested to hear how it works for you.
