I'm hopefully soon be taking arrival of an Epic 8 Expert. My first new mtb in many years. Am pretty excited.

Does anyone else here own one?

Did you end up getting the Expert? How do you like it and what size did you get?

I'm getting ready to get the same model (I think).

I got an epic 8 evo frame size large. Moved all the parts from my old bike, minus a pike fork. Love the bike. Awesome everywhere.

I bought a new Epic 8 EVO a couple weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Geo is way different than my old Yeti but I got comfy after about 2 rides. Rear suspension is probably the biggest surprise as it’s super plush but it holds-up really well on climbs. This is my 6th Epic and it’s the best by far.

I’ve been riding my Evo with the flip chip in the low position for the past 6 months. We have tight trails in my area so I moved it to the high position and had my first ride today. It actually makes a noticeable difference. The bike really likes to hold/hug high speed turns now whereas I would have to do minor line corrections in the low position. I have zero complaints about this bike and now it’s even better (for me).

I went the opposite direction and ended up back in the high setting too.

The low setting felt good when things got really rough, but the high setting just makes the bike feel sharper and more precise, especially on tighter trails. It's one of those changes that looks tiny on paper but is surprisingly noticeable on the trail.
