Used Norco Fluid FS A4?

Looking to get my first FS bike. I am in the upstate of SC and will be riding around here and up in Dupont in NC. I used to ride years ago, and am ready to get back into it now that I live near so many awesome places. I have been bike shopping for a while, but have been waiting to pull the trigger for the right thing. I have been looking at bikes up in the 2-3k range, but a Norco Fluid FS A4 has come up on market place that the owner claims he has ridden one time. It's listed at 1300 but I think I can probably make the guy an offer and get it closer to 1k. The idea of getting into a bike for 1k is intriguing to me. It would give me a chance to get riding more and to feel out what bike I may eventually want to get afterwards. I know some of the components are pretty basic, but the price would mean t's also a bike I could upgrade as I go. Should I go check it out, or should I keep looking and just resign myself to spending 2-3k? Thanks y'all!
