Hey all – new here! Have a D-shaped seat post question.
Considering purchase of new Canyon Ultimate CF SL/SLX to replace existing, older rim brake frame. Noticed they all have D-shaped seat posts now. I'm on the taller end of the spectrum and have always made the 2XL models work with some customization through things like extended/extra long seat posts. Canyon only offers 345mm seat posts and I typically need at least 400mm.
Canyon Customer Service can't provide any solutions/recommendations (probs for warranty reasons), so turning to this community instead!
Anyone have any experience with / know of any companies selling reputable extra-long D-shaped carbon seat posts?

have you looked to see if they have an adapter that allows you to run a standard post?
Unfortunately I can't help with your original question, but my wife has two Liv bikes which both come with D shaped seat posts and I have to say I'm not a huge fan ot this approach. Are there any brands you are considering that come with a nice straight forward standard round post? I've heard that Pinarello has a very wide range of frame sizes and I think they use normal seat posts.
The bike fitter that provides content on Cade Media's channel is a hug fan of Pinarello because he can fit a wide range of cyclists on their bikes.
hey, welcome! tall rider here too—totally feel the pain on post length. have you found any legit D-shape options past 345mm yet, or are you open to alloy if it means getting to 400mm?
