Is 27.5 doable on fuel ex 5? found one for sale

Found a M/L trek fuel ex 5 gen 5 for sale in my area that I’m considering but didn’t know if I should stay away because of him swapping to 27.5 front and rear? I can’t seem to find anyone doing this and am worried it would be too low?

Here’s what he had in the add. $2000 asking

“Upgrades- 27.5 ethirteen wheelset with gx eagle cassette, wireless axs derailleur, fox performance elite 160mm, funn stem, carbon handle bar.”

Idk if it would be worth considering and trying to put a 29er back in the front and rock the mullet but would I need a new fork?

I had a quick look at the geo chart. If my maths is correct, a 27.5 wheelset will give you 53mm bb drop in low. 47mm drop in high. (bb height 321 / 327mm). That's crazy low!
Perhaps running in high mode with a 29er front whell might work. That's assuming it has the original 29er fork.

Thanks for the reply. What’s a good amount of bb height to shoot for?

Personally, I wouldn't go lower than 333mm or around 42mm BB drop on a trail bike. That's my current bb height and I smack a lot of pedals.
