Just purchased a new 2024 Sid Select Plus 110mm fork with Race Day 2 Damper for $200. Currently have a Judy Silver Air fork installed. Will this be a big noticeable difference and worth the upgrade?

If you had to pick a fork that performs best between the two - the SID is the choice. Compare the specifications, hardware, weight difference, technology, etc. Need more evidence? Watch an XC race - you'll see professionals on various SID forks not Judys.

Will you be able to notice the difference? Maybe, but it's impossible for anybody but you to tell.

Enjoy your new fork.

Thanks for the reply! Used to riding more enduro trails and have used lyriks for past several years. Just picked up a xc bike so these lower travel forks are new to me. Figured for $200 just the 2 pound weight difference alone is worth it.

If you are not racing and using the bike for all around trail-ish stuff, changer the damper at service time. The Raceday is pretty basic and really meant for XC racing only. Other than that you have a better fork now!

Not racing just using it for my local trails and gravel roads to make them more fun than riding my longer travel bike on them. So you think the judy silver is better than the Sid for that?

Hey man, nice pickup — $200 for a brand-new SID Select+ with the Race Day 2 damper sounds like a steal. I’ve been curious about that upgrade too, especially coming from something like the Judy Silver.

Definitely curious to hear how much of a difference you end up feeling. From what I’ve read, the weight drop and damper performance alone should be a solid upgrade. You planning to install it yourself or take it to a shop?

The Sid is a much better chassis than the Judy and prbably lighter with less flex

Hey man, just saw your post — nice pickup on the SID Select+! That’s a solid deal for that fork. I’ve actually run both the Judy and the SID, so I figured I’d chime in if it helps. Curious how you're liking it so far? Huge difference in feel, especially when pushing the bike a bit harder.
