yes you must destrict your bosch. in north american we have a 20mph and the feeling is so unnatural hitting that limiter. i have a gen 4 non smart that i destricted some 4 years when i got it new and havent tripped the tamper error once. your bike will be 10 times better. i used volspeed
Hey man, totally get where you're coming from — that 16mph cutoff can feel like you’re dragging an anchor, especially on flats or slight climbs. I’ve been on the fence about chipping my Bosch CX too. Heard the same mixed reviews — some say it’s a game-changer, others say it messes with the torque readings or range.
Curious to hear if you’ve already tried anything or still deciding? Always good to hear real feedback before jumping in.
Ugh, that 16mph cutoff is the worst, right?? It literally feels like someone yanks the rug out from under you! I chipped my Bosch CX last season with a BadassBox and honestly, it was a total game-changer no more sudden drag on flowy sections! Just a heads-up though: it can mess with your range a bit (worth it IMO ), and obviously, it’ll void your warranty if Bosch finds out. If you ride a lot of open trails, it might be worth the splurge. Let us know what you decide happy riding!
