Trek Crockett build

I just ordered one of the few remaining Trek Crockett frame sets (58 cm, orange lettering on black). Some of the setup instructions and advice for the headset on the Trek site appear quite complicated, but I am NOT a bicycle expert or mechanic. I will have the Trek shop here do the build for me. I need advice about component sets. I want 2X in front for the derailleur, wide tubeless but NOT knobby tires and I think a medium-level component set would be fine. Not sure where to start here. Perhaps just call Trek for info. from their archives about previous Crockett models. I appreciate any assistance! William

Just looking at the models that came with drivetrain components...they were using SRAM Rival derailleur and shifters, FSA Energy Cross cranks (46/36), SRAM cassette (PG 1050 11-28 10 speed). You can look at Shimano or SRAM websites and find out what system you think works best for your setup. Do you want cable actuated shifters or electronic shifting, etc.
