Anyone have intel on when updates to Yeti SB140/SB160 are coming out?

Looks like both the SB130 and SB150 came out in late’2018, and the revised SB140/SB160 four years later in late’2022. If they kept to the same timeframe, then updates would be coming out in late’2026. In addition, the new updates just released for the upcoming year seem pretty barebones, a few new components (i.e. Maven brakes) but not even any new frame colors. Finally, with the bike industry struggling in general, a new model could really boost sales.

On the other hand, it seems like the pace of innovation has slowed down. I also haven’t seen any reports of guys like Richie running prototypes.

Anyone have intel on when updates to Yeti SB140/SB160 are coming out? Also, will these next iterations keep Switch infinity or go with the 6-bar linkage seen on the e-bikes?

RR was running a custom built DH rig. That would be my guess as a most likely and seemingly the only place left to fill for Yeti. If they're looking for "sure bets", then another non-Shimano motor e-bike is probably in the works too ("barf puke blah, like dat,", but "it's a for profit deal," so...)

With the import/export situation currently, along with the industry stuff you mentioned, I don't think a lot of manufacturers are looking to experiment with new models. Surviving is thriving at this point.

Other than lighter, electronic, and shock evolution stuff, I think MTB development has reached a point where rider skills and trails are way behind the average bike these days. Until the next generation comes along and starts ripping to the point where people are thinking, "hey, what if we made a bike that did X?", there will probably be another 5 years of pretty stagnant stuff.

Anyhow, just complete guesses.
