Anyone used speedchip.eu to derestrict their bosch gen 5?

I'm getting annoyed with the EU spec speed restriction particularly on the trails, I try to put a couple of pedal strokes in for a jump & it fells like the brakes are on!

I'm keen to change to US spec and there are a couple of people offering a software remap service without needing install a chip. One needs to connect remotely to my computer which I'm not that keen on but the other (speedchip.eu) claims he can do it without needing to connect remotely to my computer.

I've tried to find out more information on how it works and whether I can do it just using my phone connected to the bike or if I need to use a computer and if so what operating system is needed. The problem is there is a bit of a language barrier, I think he's polish and he just doesn't seem to understand my questions, he keeps pointing me to instructions on his website that are very very vague and a tiktok video that apparently shows the installation process but is in fact just a 12 second video of a phone connected to the bike with a USB cable.

Has anyone here used him? What was the process?

Otherwise I'll format an old laptop and do it the remote connection way but it'd be easier if it can be done without that!
