Can anyone confirm that the new M8200 XT cranks, which says they are 55mm chainline, can be run with the M8100 (CRM85) chainrings to get a 52mm chainline?

the chainline specification is based on the crankset itself.

if you want to maintain a 52mm chainline, you may want to explore an aftermarket chainring with a 3mm offset.

From the research I have done, the old style chainring is -3 offset, and the new chainring is 0 offset. Shimano doesn't provide this info, but I read in a forum post somewhere that was the case and they were running the new 55mm cranks with the old style chainring to get at 52mm chainline. I'm not asking for somebody to read the shimano crank specs to me, I'm looking for real world experience from anyone that has tried this
