Hi, I am in the process of building up a dj bike, and this year im gonna finish it off with the 08 rockshox argyle 302 coil, a set of 26" double tracks, and a rear avid BB5 brake. here is my setup as of now:

Frame: Gary Fisher Opie
Bars: Truvativ Hussefelt
Stem: Truvativ Hussefelt
Crank: Truvativ Holzfeller OCT DH 2.2, E. Thirteen charger bash guard: red, Truvativ Hussefelt External BB.
Pedals: Kona Jackshit primo
Rims: WTB - stock with opie. often need truing. pissin me off
Brakes: Stock v-brakes
Headset: cane creek - some xc headset - may change up later
Tires - Maxxis Holy Rollers
Fork : Stock Spinner fork that comes with opie
Single speed with dmr tensioner. thats another thing. this tensioner allllllways comes loose and it rly gets on my nerves to have to tighten it constantly. suggestions on this as well would be appreciated. thx all.

I'd get some new pedals

Are you doing alot of dirt jumps?
I might re-consider the double tracks

Forks are ace though, got some myself.

What part of the tensioner is coming loose?

You might need to just shorten the chain.

the swingarm is coming loose. i hav the chain on the bottom of the tensioner wheel btw. and itll just loosen up every time i ride. cant seem to stop it.

The swingarm of the tensioner? Is the tensioner unthreading out of the frame? Is the wheel falling off? Is a bolt coming out?
A little more detail would be nice.

Man, just get a new frame, that one is not going to hold up very long.
And I dont see why you got holzfeller OCTS and still have V-brakes. You should of saved your money and got like hussefelts and spend the rest on brakes.
But its your bike and you should do what you feels best. Wink

I totally agree. The Opie is kind of an awful frame to build up.

r u joking. i think a crankset is alot more important than brakes. i hate how ppl like always think that brakes are super important. like i would ride brakeless but i dont rly wanna get hit by a car or anything. lol. and im pretty content with the opie. its light and good geo. and so far no probs with it.

and the bolt on the tensioner is what is loosening up.
