alrite well im switching from avid to hayes and am wondering can i use avid roatars with my hayes calipers??? this is because i dont want 6" on my specialized

Actually Avid rotors are slightly thicker. It'll work but it takes more attention to setup and once they get out of true it'll be hard to get rid of the rubbing.

Not really. Hayes pads don't retract as far as Avids. The slot in the caliper itself is actually narrower too.

thanks for your posts ...the dude that said why ..well i have avids and ridden them for a long time thought they were good.....had go dh with my mates hayes and found them 5 times better much more power

ya, avids should be so much more grippier (yes, i said grippier). They also have way better modulation and wont be AS likely to send you over the bars Big Grin
