i dont get what you mean ^^...

what he means is that we're answering the question you asked but the you're saying that you don't really want the best value in a DH bike.

""mmmm Im a big fan of the glorys..."
"...the mongoose looks like a good deal, but not a great fan of the frame..."

ok dude seriously. your looking for a good dh bike. the mongoose ecd is an amazing bike... the rockshox vivid is a crazy good shock, and the boxxer team is a great race fork and does just fine for freeride, and is 3200 new, probably 3000 or 2900 at a shop. you have to keep in mind man.. your gonna be needing to do repairs on any dh fr bike. its gonna cost you 300-400 dollars just to keep it running year after year. you gotta take these things into considoration. the glory dh is an amazing bike, but its very very expensive. keep in mind the other costs along the way. like new padding also? and other things you may need, race fees, lift passes. im getting a 08' demo 8I for 1900 through my shop. maybe get a job at a shop and you can get a bike with your expectations and with your price.

thats my 2 cents

I love my Giant Glory DH! It's a 2008 and I got it brand spanking new for only $3375 +tax from my local shop because they were getting rid of their 2008 Giant bikes to make room for 09's. The suspension is one of the greatest designs out there for DH too. It corners like a roller coaster and it pedals better than many other top dollar DH bikes out there. It is loaded with good components too. Im so happy with it. The mongoose's feel like absolute shit. They do not feel right or something idk, the geometry is just too weird and it doesn't work like a dh bike should.

I'd spend $175 more for a Glory DH over that any day.

i dont get what you mean ^^ but yea i love the Norco A line Park Edition
its such a sweet bike

So you like the A-line but earlier you said that you don't like norcos...
I would rather get an Atomik than a park edition because park editions are beastly.

yea, Northstar (our local lift resort) was having a 25% off everything in the shop sale (including bikes) .... so 25% off a 4500 bike = roughly $3300

I was gonna get one, but I didn't have $3300 at the time... well $h!t, I still don'tWhip
