I have never tried a backflip, but i do throw some tailwhips and nosedived three sixtys. I believe that flips are harder than any whips.

What ever you do, don't let go of your bike as 9 times out of 10, it will fall on you. Commit fully, spot landing and keep focused on it.

or let go really early and try to throw your bike to one side so it doesn't hit you lol

I havent tried another flip since the first time! Im gonna try this weekend if the weather is good! Its not possible to get enough speed to flip the jump if its raining and the ground is wet. I dont think I need any more protection then I used the first time!

If I can try them again this weekend, I will keep trying till I land one smooth!Smile
(if I dont hurt myself really bad)

I agree that they are not a hard trick, I have never done one but I have seen guys flip that sucked. The thing is they go to foam pits and learn where I have never had the opertunity to ride a foam pit. It is sad seeing guys do fly out flips on box jumps because they can't actually clear the box. Whips might be harder but they take way less balls to try. In the end I don't really care, if it looks good and you pull it smooth even a moto whip can look good.
