Ok as the title says im looking for suggestions for a DS/4X bike.
I have the parts already all i would need is the frame.

Cheaper is better, but quality is a must.

I have been looking at the 07 Giant Trance.

Any other suggestions?

dude.. i work at a giant dealership and the trance would be sick built up right but if you want a really good quality race bike i would go with either the yeti dj (HT) or the yeti 4X (FS)

Thanks, ill look into that.
Yeti's are pretty pricey though.

Any other ideas?

No way man, the wheelbase on the trace IS WAYYYY too long for riding 4x and slalom, you want a little whippy bike, something like a yeti FS, kona cowan DS etc.

Im a tall rider,
cant get anything too small.
