im trying to take my bottom bracket off to put on my new frame but i dont
have the tool for it..any suggestions on other ways to get it off?

get a tool, or the other way is put a rag or old t-shirt around your bb and use a pipe wrench to take it off, you may need to wrap the shirt a few layers to not scratch the bb,, unless you dont care about that..make sure to have the teeth of the wrench in the grooves of the bb. just take your time. it will work, I've done it a few times, you just dont want to have to use this method too much!!

if its a external wrap hocky tape arround the out side grip it with locking pliers and turn

yep with a bit of elbow grease it worked on anything,but that was before soft alloy parts and exspensive parts,now i buy the tools as its cheaper in the long run than going back to the bike shop and i know exactly whats being done to my bike.
