oh come on alex.. ditch the dork disk (the plastic on the rear wheel behind the cassette).

06 p2 alloys have been my favourite of the p bikes... until the 08 ones came out. Smile

i'm assuming that's a long frame.

i saw 06 p2s, in both short and long, for sale at the toronto bike show for 900. but i already have single tracks and the new p2s have 2-piece cromo cranks and hayes strokers, so i'm getting the 08 instead. it should be in any day now...

the plastic disc (which I believe is called the spoke protector) is there so for noobs who don't maintain/adjust their rear mech/derailleur properly and shift the thing right into the spokes. not a pretty sight - it can ruin your wheel if that happens while you're riding too fast and don't stop in time.
basically, if you know what you're doing, you can take it off.

i currently have an 03/04 p.3 (the metalic orange one) pretty basic spec but serves me very well.
i have also had an 01 p.3. the first p frame ever!
i loved it till i put a hole in the frame a few months ago now it just adornes the window sill in the garageSmile
