oh come on alex.. ditch the dork disk (the plastic on the rear wheel behind the cassette).
06 p2 alloys have been my favourite of the p bikes... until the 08 ones came out.
i'm assuming that's a long frame.
i saw 06 p2s, in both short and long, for sale at the toronto bike show for 900. but i already have single tracks and the new p2s have 2-piece cromo cranks and hayes strokers, so i'm getting the 08 instead. it should be in any day now...

yeah it is,
and what the hell is the point of the plastic disk anyways?

ive been meaning to take it off for a while
the plastic disc (which I believe is called the spoke protector) is there so for noobs who don't maintain/adjust their rear mech/derailleur properly and shift the thing right into the spokes. not a pretty sight - it can ruin your wheel if that happens while you're riding too fast and don't stop in time. basically, if you know what you're doing, you can take it off.
i currently have an 03/04 p.3 (the metalic orange one) pretty basic spec but serves me very well. i have also had an 01 p.3. the first p frame ever! i loved it till i put a hole in the frame a few months ago now it just adornes the window sill in the garage
