Well u wont get a demo 9 new unless a shop is that gay to have one 3 years later,
anyways id be looking at the demo 7 or demo 8 as they are more then 2kgs lighter then any glory thats stock, have a better warrenty that u can actually race and do anything on, pedal better, look better and have a slacker head angle and lower bottom bracket.

demo 9s were the most tank free ride bike and will live on for ever, older demo 8s before 2007 were a lil fragile as to the cold forged bottombracket shell and shock rib cage not being cooled enough before those frames were welded together which caused alot to fatigue if u were a harsher rider or hucker, at least all riders who bought that model new got a new frame no questions asked within a real short time frame.

And before you flame me on a warrenty issue i dunno what its like overseas but in australia if u own a giant they will not cover you for warrenty if it has been used in competitive events, i have worked in a few shops who sell them and customers do not get looked after much at all.

dont get a demo there poo pooooo. i no someone thats cracked one n he cant ride bikes

as i said above there were a few minor issues with 06 models and before in demo 8s, not 9s.

By the way u also said ur mate broke one and he cant ride bikes good? well hello look at bender!! how many does he break? and how many times has ur mate hucked to flat or even fell, nothing lasts for ever in our sport champ, this is mountain biking not road racing.
