Yep, I rode one for a season. Great bike. Theres lots of rear axle options too. The 5th shock isnt the best, see if you can find one with a DHX.

I think that the single pivot with linkage design is underrated. Also. if you run a 36t chainring, the shockwaves pedal better as the chain is more inline with the pivot.

They are much lighter than people think. The impression they are heavy just comes from the fact that they have a hoofing great monocoque frame.

NEVER run it without the fork stop (unless youre running single crowns obviously) as the sheet metal on the frame is very thin and will dent very easliy. My frind Dave Valler wrote a frame off this way as the mountain cycle distributors said this was an "optional part". He got a brand spanking new frame from mountain cycle customer service...

So yeah, buy one!

What do you mean? you can change the damping on the shock and the spring rates...

is a motocross designs so you like or not but its a massive strongFull Monocoque Construction for a super stiff, true-tracking ride and optimum strength to weight ratio.
Approximate 9lb final frame weight!nice piese of work you need to try it!

I have one and yes, its a excellent downhill bike.
It´s light (mine´s 17.3kg)and it works just perfect with a DHX5.
The best DH bike I´ve ridden, and I´ve ridden a few

All the Mountain Cycle frames look amazingly old-school and dated, I guess some people like that. I think that with good components they can perform very well.
