Canon GL2 or Sony VX2100?

Im looking to buy a new camera. I am looking at the canon gl2 and the sony vx2100. Can someone give me the pros and cons of both? Also, how does the canon HV20 compare?

I just bought an HV30 as a B camera and I absolutely love the thing. For $800, you cannot beat it. It lacks manual control, but there are many workarounds which allow you to control your aperture, gain, ND's, etc. I actually prefer shooting with my HV30 to my Fx1.

The Hv30 allows you to record 30p. The HV20 only has 60i and 24p. I think there might be one more thing but I don't think it's anything much. It's going to be hard to find a new HV20 for sale, it's discontinued since the HV30 came out.

none. You can use any mini dv tape, they're all basically the same. Just make sure you stick with one brand though and don't change.

HV30 records in 30P option, and has the ability to use Canon's longer-life battery. It's also black. Annnnnnnd that's about it. I'm looking into getting one of these as well. I found some HV20's for super cheap new.
