what i would do is cover the sides of the rim with tape and then paint it just incase you want to go back to brakes

It's up to you, it's your bike so if you think it would look good then do it. No point worrying about what people you'll probably never meet think about it.

Hey guys how do you paint the rim without screwing up the spokes and nipples and i dont really want to take them off.

Wrap the spokes in tape.

thats what i did the first 3 times. then i got lazy.
i always hated when i wraped the spoks in tape and got a little of the tape on the rim and a bit of the underneith paint colour showed through.

how do you get the paint to stick to the rim good if its chrome do you just primer it and call it good?

sand the f*ck out of it and get as much of it off as you can. painting chrome will always suck
