Demo has FSR which is nice. Transition is fancy single pivot. I'd get the Demo.

Get the demo. maybe the knolly v-tack? or the santa cruz vp-free, or a demo 7? They are all nice bike man. There's a lot of choice to pick from so which everone fits your style get it.

Demo 7 without the spacer sounds like it'd do the trick Wink

Are you buying complete or building it up from frame?

Get the Demo. The suspension design is awesome and it just floats through rooty sections and rock fields. However you should maybe look at getting the Demo 7 (I or II) because it is slightly lighter than the 8, has a slighty slacker head angle (65 degrees - which is already quite slack), gets you almost as much suspension travel (7.7" if you remove the travel limiter), and has a 1.5" HT in case you want to run single crown forks. The 1.5" HT is also stronger than the 1 1/8" because there is more surface area for the top and down tubes to be welded on to. On top of that, the Demo 7 is cheaper!

EDIT: Sorry dind't see your above post. Frown
