My friend is looking for a new frame to replace the bike he has now so I said I help him find a good 1 but I need your help. His criteria are that its to be around 6 inch travel, pedal amazingly well but can also take a bit of light downhill use and possibly the megavalanche next year. He is also not a fan of the bigger brands (Trek, Specialized, Giant etc) and wants something pretty individual and good quality. Money isn't really an issue but of course he does only work in a shop so no £2000 frames please! Big Grin

All your help will be appreciated!

clubroost xs freeride. 5 or 6 inches adjustable travel, real easy to pedal if you get a good shock for it and only £500-600. ive got a few pics of mine on my profile.

I would check out the Lapierre Spicy 916. Only available as compete bike for 2008 but he can always sell bits he does not like.

Intense 6.6? The new Kona Coilari with the magiclink, transition syren.. I donno, every company pretty much makes a kind of agressive all mountain 6 inch bike. You just need to get looking at websites and catalogs.

Easy! Cove G-Spot. Slap a nice Fox 160mm TALAS fork on (6.25" front travel), bike has 6" rear travel. It is bullet proof, sexy, and reasonably priced. Cant go wrong.
