i currently have a hardtail with a 130mm fork that im trying to sell as i feel its holding me back from progressing waaaay to much (plus i've had it for over 2 years) and im probably gonna be gettin myself a dh bike as i would like to get into racing. im gettin a job soon so by the time the season starts i should have around 3000 CAD. just wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

I don't race or DH so take my advice with a grain of salt. Anywho, the Commencal mini-dh seems like it would be a good choice. Talk to ajax-ripper about it

IF you get the Atomik, which is a great bike. I'd suggest getting new brakes and rims before a new fork. I'd go and get Juicy sevens or fives and maybe a nice cheap strong rim. You could probably get all that with the extra money you'd have and if not buy used, you can find some great deals.

Get your priorities straightened... X7, Juicy 3, and you're worried about the boxxer race (great fork)? I'd upgrade the frame before upgrading that fork.
