i know norcos are mad heavy. unlike konas are really lite, the norco's get your money worth though, its all a preference, the norcos would be better for freeride as the kona's would be better for DJ

in my oppinion norco is a superior company, kona doesn't put very many gussets on their bikes so they have a tendency to crack, i recently just cracked my stuff on the seattube, norco on the other hand heavily gussets their frames so they don't crack as often, i also love the looks and feel of norcos, on the other hand konas dj line are all the same and don't have much variety, norco also puts awesome components on their bikes for a good price

that just about sums up my comment... I must also say, ... for those kona hatres^^, if you set them up right, they can be kick. My buddy has a Kona Cowan. But he pimped his up a l'il and its top notch now. Overall, norcos are more suited up for DH/NS and Konas for DJ/Street. (thats just my opinion though...)

It all depends on your riding!!! I have a Kona Stinky for freeriding; soft tail and a Norco Rampage for Hardtail... Don't compare a Norco Shore to a Kona Cowan... be sure to compare apples to apples. I LOVE MY STINKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

im gonna say kona. you may be lugin around a little extra weight but their bikes are built like the M1A1 Abrams, ill thorw down a few bucks that ur not gonna break it. they've also got their D.O.P.E system down

on the other hand norcos arnt bad but their suspension isnt anything special and evry kid and their mom has one on pinkbike
