Hey guys, I was just wondering what bike would be the best for DJ's, slopestyle, and a bit of freeride. I would want to make the bike single speed too. Which on do you think is the best and give reasons.

Norco 4X
Norco Empire 5
Kona Bass

i had the same debate betwwen bikes and i chose the empire 5, i have one of the first production bikes coming in november, and i plan to run it singlespeed too. so ill let you know what its like. apparently i was the first consumer to order one in the world. though all three bikes are great, the five is just the most versitile

what good would horizontal dropouts do, anyways?

you realize that because of chain growth you'd need a tensioner anyways, right?

(except on the bass, cowan ds, g-spot, and those dob protos)

The kona bass is the only one you can makee single speed... its all where the pivots are... if single speed is jus an option then foe your riding

1. Empire 5
2. Norco XXXX
3. Bas

No you can make them all ss, but you would need a chain tensioner for the empire 5 and the 4x
