Right, im stuck between two bikes

this

Orange patriot 7 plus

http://www.orangebikes.co.uk/2005bikes/bikes.php?bike=pat7

or

Orange patriot 66 ST

http://www.orangebikes.co.uk/2006bikes/patriot66-st.php

I will be mostly free-riding, but maybe will do a little DH too?

Will the ST do for both or will it be too heavy for freeriding? also will i be able to fit a set of 160mm forks and change it to more free ride spec if i want to?

Any help/thoughts much appreciated

Cheers

7+ is a better choice; Oranges are lightweight, Demo's are not... An Orange will be better for doing DH as well!

Just bought a Orange patriot 66 the other day for £500! Sweet bike! Felt strange at first, as I'm used to my norco shore, but climbs sweet, and after a couple of runs I was going as fast as I do on my Norco. Using it as a AM bike mostly I chose the 66, but if you are mostly DH and big FR with mostly push ups the 7+ would be better I think.

My mums in the house Frown can't escape! also I am currently giving my bike a full service and it is in bits, and I have no chain, so putting it together would be useless. Going for a ride all day tomorrow though Smile
