A little bird told me that the new Express Highway (or aka Expressway) in Hamilton has recently been paved and is not yet open to the public. Has anyone ridden it yet? Does anyone know when it opens to automotive vehicles?

Its called the Red Hill Valley Expressway. It's paved and painted and is not currently open to automobile traffic. It officially opens in a week or two. It goes from the end of the link in Soney Creek to Lake Ontario and the QEW. Don't see why you would want to ride on it

I just came back to Ontario from spending 6 months in Jasper National Park. All I've been doing this summer is living the life of a roadie; I purchased a Surly Steamroller (fixie) while I was out west, which just arrived via Greyhound last week. I'm jonsing for some serious tarmack and hills to ascent. This highway sounds pretty epic.

Thanks guys!
