dont need front brake and that frame weighs 5.4
get schwalbe table top tires
you cant run a bash guard on a bmx crank u fool u dont need one anyway
you need a bmx sprocket for it
get the ns coaster ss pro hub so u dont need a conversion kit

Uhmm, yeah actually you can run an E-13 bash-gaurd w/ the BMX crank. Look at E-13 website, under crown wheels, they have a specific set-up for it. They make 26, 32, & 36 tooth sprocket BMX-style chainwheels that are also drilled to mount their bashgaurd. And I promise you, I will need it! Plus, I like the way it feels when doing pedal/crank grinds... As for the SS rear hub, I'm not 100% sure about going SS, so the other NS hub w/ the conversion gives me the capability to add gears later if I want... Call me a puss if you want, but this is my 2nd bike ever, and I've never ridden BMX, so...

yer u only need rear brake, i agree
also why bother tring to have a bash spend the money on a decent indistructable bmx chain and good sprocket, also dmr rts are alot lighter than the transitions unless you desperatly need the dual ply sidewalls
grips- longnecks a common favourite but this is a personal thing,
the ns single speed hub is an alot better idea and with a ss hub you can have a microdrive, drivetrain, which will lookalot better.

also there isnt any cable mounts on the ns bikes frames for gears only a rear brake so ur goin to have to use cable ties which look a mess, furthermore the rear derailleur hanger looks very complicated to set up, once your used to single speed its so much better, less to break and lighter.

get some 36's and lower them!

Ny understanding from NS is that they have cable mounts, but they are removable, so you only have them on if you need them... Is this not true? Or only true for the '09 Suburban?

I already bought the Argyle fork, and brakes. I also got the rear hub for X-Mas, but may consider swapping it for the SS hub, so I can run a 9-tooth rear instead of 12-tooth, but I'm just a little hessitant to fully commit to this single-speed thing...

cool dude im building a 26inch suburban! but you have to go single speed. im a downhiller but single speed for dj and street, park is amazing.
1 it doesnt break
2 it does not cost alot to maintain
3 it is not expensive you dont have to buy shifters and mechs

single spped rules!
