I know the Demo 7 has a single crown and the 8 a dual but whats the differnce???frame?? linkages??

the demo 8 was built as a full race machine where as
the demo 7 was a more free ride bike
the demo 8 has a more slack head angle
the demo 8 has a longer wheel base

demo 8 has more travel(front and rear). better equipment (shifter,derailler,brakes)
demo8 has 1 1/8 headtube, demo 7 has 1.5 headtube
demo 8 dhx 5.0 , demo 7 dhx 4.0 rear shock

no its because thats the way the frame is, is a more dh oriented ride, not freeride

well i have the catalogue in front of me and the only diff. in geometry is the head angle by 1 degree and the bottom bracket height witch would be affected from the amount of travel from the front suspension

the links on the demo 7 are shorter than they are on the Demo 8

Doesn't the Demo 8 have 8 inches of travel on the back and the Demo 7 has seven? Or is that too simple?

i thought that was self evident when i said the 8 had more travel in my post...the Demo 7 can have 7"- 7.7" of travel if you remove the limiter off the rear shock
