You can get a Student version too which is abit cheaper, but you have to prove you are a student and meet the requirements to get the thingy code. I dunno the US price but its £150 here. The Adobe website has all the prices on it tho.

I got my copy of CS3 Extended edition from the Adobe Student store for $329 Canadian.

Yeah, CS4 is $699, You could download GIMP though, which is a free photo editing software which is very similar to Photoshop.

get Ubuntu OS which is free.... comes with GIMP photo editor which is just as good as pshop in my opinion
