try out some mates bikes, i went from 20" to 24" and i love the 24 soo much it feels perfect but its all preference.

There's already a billion, million threads on this subject, and if you think about it the advantages and disadvantages are pretty obvious.

Haha I'm calm, I only said the truth though.

Well if you got a bmx now you probably find it easier to go to a 24" cause the step up in size wont be so much. And for street and dirt your better of with 24" inch anyway, advantages are in general 24" will be lighter, stronger and easier to chuck around and hop and stuff. The biggest advantage for 26" is that the bigger wheels roll over obstacles more easily, making them better for dowhill and freeride.

I've run both so heres my 2 cents

26"s: Stable, smooth and quick rolling but heavy, harder to chuck the bike about, longer chainstays so its harder to ride and easier to bend the rims.

24"s: Light, sharp, strong, short chainstays, more toe clearance for X-ups/barspins but not as smooth rolling and alot less stable.
