So that just leaves Lotus with its "Official Release" on Friday. So far USF1 and Campos have yet to give dates. Its said Campos has a car, but no money and USF1 has no car, but a ton of money. Stafan GP (bought the pieces of Toyota's F1 progam) is ready to go with a car and money, but they were not included in this years champinship.

6 days, boys.

Here's Webber showing how things should be done.

It's going to be a very interesting first race. Winter testing didn't show us much in where they rank against each other. It'll be great with more cars on the grid. I'm excited, off season is longest part of my year

No doubt, between less riding and no F1 I turn into an a*shole by mid November...

I'm thinking it's going to be a gong show really, lots of blue flags this season!

First corner could see a lot of wrecks, not only with more cars, but cars loaded with fuel. Positioning becomes very important very quickly.

Getting a setup that works for the whole race (ie really heavy fuel load => really light) could be quite challenging. Guess there will be lots of compromises.

Hopefully there will be more passing on the track rather than in the pits tup

2 second pit stops! It's going to be exciting on one hand, but on the other I think we'll see drivers taking a lot less chances to put down a flier before they come in, and like wise with cars staying out. Being able to lay down those near-pole lap times just before he would come in and when his competition would go in used to be one of Michael's big advantages, that is going to be lessened a lot by the short stops.

I'm sure you all have predictions for this weekend so let's hear 'em!

Mine is Vettel for the win with the strongest car by far. Alonso is going to drive the piss out of a slow red car to take second, and Shuey will impress with a 3rd in a slow 'benz. How will we know it's slow? Because his teammate will be .2-.5 behind per lap! Neither Lotus is going to finish, but both HRT's will and they will bring home a point or two.

Thats my prediction. I really want to see Webber win though.

Sauber has a big advantage for the long stints because they have the best tire management over any other car. I think Force India will be the dark horse of the season. The new cars will be lagging behind like crazy. Give Virgin a few years and they'll be right in the mid-pack. I don't know why people are so up on HRT, they haven't had many runnings of their car. I don't know what to say about the top 4 front runners though.

All I want is this Formula One bore-fest to end. Closer racing, more like-able personalities, no Bernie, and non Hermann Tilke courses will make me happy. Enough of my bitching. Who's going to wake up for the live showing of the race?!
